The Sweet Release of Death was spawned from the trials and tribulations of one of the roughest years I’ve ever had in my working life. I worked as an Art Director (glorified graphic design baby-sitter) and after about a month had passed from The Great American Banking Swindle of late 2008, my management position was eliminated and I was put out into the production floor into a completely different department. That wasn’t too bad as that is where I started, what goes up must come down I reckon. It did light a fire in me in how corporations swing the axe mightily in tough times. The People be damned. Pay cut, shitty position, benefits cut and frozen. Hmm… so cozy! One thing it did, was give me reflection on my working career, and the people and companies that have crossed my path along the way. So I decided to start a blog about all the crazy shit I have seen, not just in my current position (back in graphic design) but all of the jobs I’ve had, yes, even my shitty high school jobs get the once over. All the stories presented here are true, only the names have been changed to protect the truly guilty, corrupt, morally corrupt, and just plain stupid. So kick back and have a laugh with me, cause I know you’re going through the same thing. So why not laugh about it?
